  • Those who are experiencing workplace, family or situational stress.

*If you have a specific concern, you may wish to come along for private sessions, but the group classes could be a good introduction to the method and won’t limit you to thinking only about your challenges.  During a lesson you should be seeking out the ease in the movement and only doing what is comfortable, so a lesson can be attended by anyone who is able to apply sufficient self-care.

Should I come to an ATM or FI?

The group ATM classes offer the benefit of community and social learning at an affordable price. Every lesson will be different which benefits your curious brain and may surprise you with what you learn. A group class won’t limit you to thinking only about your challenges as you follow along with the group.  During a lesson you should be seeking out the ease in the movement and only doing what is comfortable, so a lesson can be attended by anyone who is able to apply sufficient self-care.

If you have a specific concern or have limited time you may wish to come along for private FI sessions. These private sessions can include some private ATM in addition to FI and will normally include some voluntary homework for the student.  It’s your lesson - you choose!

What should I bring to an ATM?

Please bring a yoga/exercise mat and a blanket/large towel.  You will use the blanket for extra comfort, warmth and potentially to provide less friction when moving than when lying directly on the mat. But this is personal preference.  If you specifically need any support for your head when lying on your back please bring a firm support or folded towel (try to avoid using pillows/cushions if possible). Some weeks I will ask you to bring further support for side lying lessons - layering up towels is generally fine. For lessons in the Movement Studio all bolsters and supports are provided but a blanket for the mat would still be useful.

What should I wear?

You can wear any clothing that will enable you to move freely.  Shoes will be removed but socks may be worn.  Often movements are easier with less friction so you may consider this when choosing your outfit!

How much does it cost?

ATM group classes typically £15 for a 60 minute class.

Functional Integration: £75 for 60-90 minute appointment. 50% off if you book 2 or more.

How do I get the most from the lesson?

Speak to your brain and nervous system in the way it will best respond:

  • Do each movement slowly

  • Use minimal muscular effort

  • Make each movement small

  • Make each movement easy and comfortable

  • Rest between each movement

  • Don't compete, even with yourself

  • Don’t do any movements that are uncomfortable

  • Take a break; no need to push, force, or stretch

  • Turn your attention inward to sense and feel yourself.

  • When the lesson is over, notice everything that has changed.
